Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and Zingoo when you use the Zingoo app and this website. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Zingoo. Questions: support@begether.net.
The short version
- Zingoo is for sharing an event's photos and chat with people you invite. Be decent to them.
- There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive people: nudity or sexual content, harassment, hate, threats, violence, spam, or anything illegal.
- You can report anything, block anyone, and delete your own posts. Event hosts can remove content and guests from their events.
- We review reports, and we remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.
1. Who can use Zingoo
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Zingoo. You are responsible for your account and for what happens under it, so keep your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
2. What you post, and what we may do with it
You keep ownership of the photos, messages, comments and other content you post. You give us permission to store, process and show it to the people in that event, and only to run Zingoo for you (for example, to make thumbnails and deliver it to your guests). That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from the short backup and log periods described in the Privacy Policy.
You promise that you have the right to post what you post, including the right to share photos of other people, and that doing so doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.
3. What isn't allowed
Zingoo has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Do not post, send or do any of the following:
- nudity, pornography or sexually explicit content, and anything that sexualizes minors (which we will report to the authorities);
- harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or content that attacks people for who they are;
- graphic violence, or content that encourages self-harm or harm to others;
- photos or videos of people taken or shared in a way that violates their privacy, such as in places where they expect privacy;
- spam, scams, advertising nobody asked for, or impersonating someone else;
- anything illegal, or that infringes someone's copyright or other rights;
- attempts to break, overload or get around the app's security, or to use someone else's account.
4. Reporting, blocking and moderation
- Report: use the ⋯ menu on any photo, message or comment to report it, with a reason and an optional note. Content you report disappears from your screen straight away.
- Hidden while we look: an item is hidden from everyone but its author and the event's host when the host reports it, or when two different people report it, until we have reviewed it. If it turns out to be fine, it comes back.
- Review: reports go to our team, who see the reported item, the reasons and the notes. We aim to review reports within 24 hours. We may delete the content, and we may suspend the account of anyone who breaks these terms, with or without a warning.
- Block: you can block anyone from the same menu, from an event's guest list, or when you report. You and the person you block will no longer see each other's photos, messages or events, and neither of you can invite the other. They aren't told. You can unblock them under Account → Blocked users.
- Delete: you can delete your own photos, messages and comments at any time.
- Hosts: the person who created an event can delete any content in it and remove any guest from it. Hosts are responsible for who they invite.
- False reports: please don't report content just to harass someone. Reports are limited in number, and abuse of reporting can lead to suspension.
Inviting people
Invite people you know and who would expect to hear from you. When you invite someone who isn't on Zingoo, we may email them once, naming you, so only enter addresses and numbers you have a good reason to use. Don't use invitations to spam, to harass, or to reach people who asked you to stop. We limit how many people you can invite who haven't joined, and we may stop invitations from anyone who abuses this.
5. Ending your use of Zingoo
You can stop using Zingoo and delete your account at any time from Account → Delete my account; what that removes is described in the Privacy Policy. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk. A suspended person can ask to have their account deleted by emailing us.
6. Using the app
We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use the Zingoo app for its intended purpose. Don't copy it, reverse engineer it or use it to build a competing service, except where the law lets you. The Zingoo name, logo and app are ours.
7. No guarantees, and limits on our liability
Zingoo is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and your content safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that content will never be lost, so please keep your own copy of photos you care about. Other people's content is theirs: we don't pre-screen what people post and aren't responsible for it, although we act on reports as described above.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of Zingoo. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer where you live.
8. Changes
We may update these terms, for example when we add features. If we make a change that matters, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Zingoo after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
